Actually, there is a generic macro that displays all the fields in the AnnotationClass in a <dl>, with prettyname and value. Although it might look irrelevant in this particular case, it is pretty useful when several fields need to be displayed. Note that this is just a demo. It is most likely that, in particular contexts, the Annotation class and the display macro will be customized as needed.
Suggestion: When hovering over an annotation a message should appear suggesting to the user to hover over the top right corner of the annotation if he wants to view the annotation/take an action
I kind of disagree with a message on hover who tells you to hover someplace else... If it's not clear where you should go to view the annotation, then maybe there's a problem with the design. Do you think the annotation icon is not visible enough?
Well, the color of the icon is pretty much the same as the background color of the annotated text, so indeed maybe the icon does not stand out enough. In this case, I'd go for a different default highlight color...
Issue: I create an annotation; I click on an edit option (e.g. objects); I click back; The annotation is not highlighted, however when I click on the "Annotations" tab at the top of the page "Show annotations" is checked.
This is a test commment.
Anca, check out this test page.

I added an extra field called mood now, which should demonstrate well the way typed annotations work and how the labels in the forms are generated.

Bug?
Yes, indeed it seems to be previous version's author that's set as the author of the annotation add.
some things you need to know before starting annotations

At a first glance it wasn't completely clear I should hover over the top right corner. Maybe the icon doesn't stand out enough or maybe it's just me

Issue: I can annotate the same piece of text more than once
This is a feature. It's good that users can annotate same text and that annotations can overlap & all.
Issue? When editing an annotation from the tab at the bottom of the page the yellow icon next to the user name appears twice
yes, it's a minor css bug I forgot about.
When I click "(Un)Watch" at the top of a page the "Annotations" link+icon disappear. I need to refresh the page afterward to see them again.
